|I have always had a passion for music and a keen ear for many types of sound. This was encouraged in me from a tender age by my musicologist father, Alan Gillmor.
From classical training in flute as a youngster through many years of playing bass and percussion in bands, my interest in sound has grown to include manipulating it digitally and creating audio sculpture with samples recorded from my surroundings. In recent years cello has taken a prominent place in my musical life.
I have created sound design for theatre, performance art, film and video as well as music for dance and 3-dimensional multimedia projects.
As much as composing my own music, I have also enjoyed producing cds for others from their raw tracks and editing sound for various applications.
With this diverse experience I look forward to more collaboration with other artists as both a means of income and simply to indulge my passion.
